Question for Thought

Question: Look at the Climate Trends learning tool to remind yourself of the time period in which methane concentrations began increasing. You may need to move the horizontal scrubber bars to zoom in on recent history. Do you remember the primary sources of methane?

With increases in worldwide agricultural activity, the amount of methane production from crops and livestock is larger than ever before in human history. Would you consider the recent emissions of methane from agriculture to be natural, anthropogenic, or a combination of the two?
